"Steppin' Out with Pacific"
Dear Panther Parents and Guardians,
Last year, elementary schools in the MBUSD and throughout the South Bay participated in a fitness challenge to support health programs in the community. The Beach Cities Health District Challenge will be held during the week of April 21st – April 27th. During that week Pacific students, staff, and families will walk as many steps as possible while wearing a pedometer. The goal is 70,000 steps in 7 days! The registration fee is $10.00 per person and, if you need one, you may purchase a pedometer for an additional $3.00. The proceeds go to the Beach Cities Health District to support health awareness programs in the South Bay.
Challenge your children to walk to school all week, not just on Wednesday. This challenge is great for their health, supports our "Go Green" efforts, and will reduce the traffic congestion surrounding Pacific. Let's break our "Steppin Out" record from last school year. I want to thank you in advance for your support of this important event!
Let's get walking!
