Pacific's 'Dare to be Free of TV' is a challenge for each Pacific Panther, DK-5th grade, to watch as little television as possible for the two weeks of May 5th – May 16th. Click here for more information.

District Wide News: A huge first step was taken by our Manhattan Beach City Council Members 4/15 when the City Council voted 5-0 to authorized $520,000 to MBUSD to help with our financial difficulties. This is only the beginning. The City Council Members view this as a first step. The vote was for one year, but all council members spoke in favor of financial support to MBUSD for years to come and they all spoke in favor of considering additional support for this coming year. This year, we asked parents of Pacific families to step up and be counted. The response was fantastic! The percentage of Pacific families donating to the Annual Appeal reached an all-time high of 87%. Donations totaled $407,000 and helped MBEF meet its goal of $2.6 million. Even more heart-warming was the overwhelming support from our Pacific staff and teachers as each classroom worked towards our participation goal. Every classroom earned at least a $250 bonus to spend on classroom supplies, and our library and technology center will each receive $500. Reminders: 5/5 to 5/16 is our testing/makeup window. The schedule varies dependent on the grade level and the specific calendar will be defined next week. Please do not schedule vacation or any appointments during this time.
