Going Green at Pacific:

  • Pack Trash-free Lunches in 2010: Pouch Pals are reusable pouches for sandwiches and snacks✦Waste-free, fun and washable✦Free of PVC, BPA and phthalates✦A safe alternative to plastic.  Go to www.pouchpals.net and enter PACIFIC in the coupon code of your order. $1 of each Pouch Pal you purchase will be donated to Pacific Elementary School.
  • PLEASE collect CUT GRASS, LEAVES, SAWDUST, WOOD ASHES, BREAD, and coffee grounds for our compost bin. Please bring your bag of “browns” to the garden. Set them near the tree inside the gate. The Panthers are contributing their fruit and vegetable waste each day at lunch. With the “browns” you bring in, we will have healthy composted soil for our garden. Many Thanks!
  • Send a TRASHLESS lunch with your child to school. Please send your Panther with a reusable lunch carrier with reusable containers inside. Our goal is to produce as little trash as possible during lunch. (By reducing, reusing, recycling and composting, we have already gone from 13 bags of “trash” at lunch, down to only 4 ”trash” bags☺)
  • Recycle your old cell phones and MP3 players on line while raising money for Grades of Green. Just click HERE: tradein.flipswap.com?affiliateId=pacificschool
  • ALSO, bring in old printer cartridges (no toners). Please drop them in labeled bin in the copy room, (located near the nurse’s office).
