Run Club News - Top Miles go to...

Well, all this rain is good for ducks but less good for Run Club! It’s frustrating to have to keep cancelling but we need to be careful about the condition of Upper Field and we don’t want the kids slipping or spending the day wearing soaking wet socks and shoes. Bear with us and fIngers crossed we can get back to our regular Monday, Wednesday, Friday routine this coming week.

On the subject of cancellations, we have had some bad news from Remind, the app we use to send those messages to Run Club parents. Going forward, Verizon is no longer supporting the free text service Remind has previously provided to Verizon users. If you are with Verizon, in order to continue receiving our Run Club reminders, please can you either download the Remind mobile app (https://www.remind.com/apps/) or enable email notifications from Remind (https://help.remind.com/hc/en-us/articles/206430755-How-do-I-change-my-message-notifications-), both of which are free of charge.

When we were able to run, the participation and top miles awards went to:

Group Participation Award:
Kinder: Mrs. Sanders
1st: Ms. Cameron
2nd: Mrs. Lim
3rd: Mrs. Diamond/Murphy
4th: Mrs. Brown
5th: Mrs. Hubbard

Top Miles Award: Mrs. Witlen

We need hosts for our Panther Parties!

One of the biggest fundraisers is also the most fun! Remember the Flip Flops & Lemon Drops? The soccer clinic and bocce parties? How much fun are those for families and kids?! The host, or group of hosts (fun to do with friends!), throws a party at their expense for a specified number of people. Individuals pay to attend the party and funds directly benefit the Pacific PTA.

Pizza Hut BOOK IT!

This year the Pacific library is participating in the Pizza Hut BOOK IT! The goal of the program is to encourage your child to find the joy in reading. The mission of the program is to turn "have to read" into "want to read" and the only way to get better at reading is to take the time to do it.
