School-based counseling is provided by our school counselor. The goal is to provide social and emotional support for students around school-related issues. Students are typically seen one to one on a weekly basis. Strategies for utilizing positive coping skills such as effective problem solving, emotional regulation, and communication are taught. The school-based counselor also can provide classroom presentations, parent consultation, and support to Pacific staff. Referrals are typically given to the counselor from the teacher, parent, or Student Study Team.
