“You can’t do anything alone. Find your tribe, and never ever let them go” – Gru

One of our favorite quotes from our featured movie Minions, The Rise of Gru which so beautifully articulates how we feel about our Pacific School tribe. We love coming together as a community and it truly takes a village of amazing volunteers to help make Movie Night an absolute success. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who have joined to make our 20th Annual Pacific Movie Night possible.

Special thanks to: former Movie Night co-chairs, Mary Scholz and Natasha Derow. Brooke Zipperman, Tish Anderson, Carini Bauman, Ashley Ritter, Jennifer Laws, Alison Rosenthal, Stephanie Dugary, Lisa Stott, Kirsten Chen, Payal Kachalia, Jen Koch, Wysh Weinstein and the entire PTA Board.
A huge thank you to all our wonderful parent volunteers who stepped in to work the event.

Our amazing Pacific staff: Principal Rhonda Steinberg, Mrs. Susie Howat, Mrs. Pam Thomas, Mrs. Lawaii King, Mr. Ruben and all of our dedicated facilities operations team.

Our generous event sponsors: Womack Wealth Management, Transom Capital Group, Caskey Real Estate Group, Gimlen Orthodontics, Jen Caskey Group, Summer Orthodontics, Lauren Forbes Group, Los Angeles Center for ENT and Allergy, Total Testing Solutions, Study Hut Tutoring, Advanced Air, Dax Wealth Management Group, Jenny Morant Group at Compass, Pure Dermatology and Code Ninjas.

Our event partners: Mrs Courtney Rogge on behalf of Universal Pictures, DJ Dave Wein, FunFlicks, Vox Productions, In-N-Out, MB Postal, Manhattan Beach Parks & Rec and Manhattan Beach Unified School District.

Last but not least, thank you to our incredible Pacific families for your generous support through ticket sales and scholarship fund donations. We were so happy to see all our Pacific families and share this special event together. We hope to see you all back next year!

Your Pacific Movie Night Chairs,
Rosabel Murai & Jennifer Kim

Why We Need Both MBEF and PTA Donations

Why We Need Both MBEF and PTA Donations Thumbnail Image
Together, MBEF and the PTAs are vital partners in supporting the success of our Manhattan Beach schools. MBEF collaborates closely with the district to provide a well-rounded, high-quality TK-12 education by funding educators and programs for all students districtwide. The PTAs pay for material resources and specialized projects at each school site. The quality of our schools is dependent upon each - please donate to MBEF (https://mbef.org/givetoday) and the Pacific PTA (https://www.pacificschool.com/apps/pages/JoinPTA) Today!

No Place for Hate

No Place for Hate Thumbnail Image
At Pacific, we are busy working to organize and kick off our second year with ADL's No Place for Hate elementary school program. In our first year with the program we saw great interest and enthusiasm from the kids, we look forward to seeing the students lead us further this year!

No Place for Hate is a collaborative initiative that provides Pre-K–12 schools with an organizing framework for students, administrators, teachers and family members to develop long-term solutions for creating and maintaining an inclusive and equitable school climate.
