Two generous donors recently stepped forward with a $75,000 Flash Match, challenging the broader community to maximize its impact by giving to MBEF’s Annual Appeal. On April 22, every new or increased gift was matched dollar-for-dollar, inspiring an incredible show of support from the community.
By the close of the Flash Match, 100 donors had contributed $78,702.51. To date, the Annual Appeal has raised over $5.6 million in support of Manhattan Beach public schools.
The Annual Appeal remains open through May 30, and every additional $125,000 raised has the power to restore one classroom teaching position. MBEF’s final grant amount to MBUSD for the 2026–27 school year will be announced in June.
